Andrew James Joffe had an open warrant for driving with a suspended/revoked driver’s license. That being sad, he called 9-1-1 Thursday around 1:50 am. His reason? He was lost and being chased by wild hogs.
After deputies located Joffe and brought him back to the station, they uncovered a wide range on electronic devices in his backpack. He had cellphones, a GPS system, even a few earrings. Wait, if he had a GPS system why didn’t he just use it to find out where he was and make it so he wasn’t lost any more?
Maybe he panicked and didn’t think of that because he was being chased by ferocious pigs.
Upon further investigation, deputies found that the home address listed in the GPS wasn’t Joffe’s, it was someone else’s. As it turns out, everything in his backpack was stolen. Joffe later admitted that he illegally entered someone’s vehicle and took the GPS.
He was added two charges which were burglary-conveyance and petty theft.
