Arrested Man Orders 5 Pizzas to Police Station

29-Year-old Michael Harp was arrested for shoplifting. While at the police station, he asked officers if he could make a call from his cell phone. Since he was arrested for a minor offense, officers let him make the call.

Shortly after, a pizza man arrived at the police station with 5 pizzas for “Officer Wilson” – the name of the cop that arrested Harp. Essentially, Michael Harp tried to smuggle 5 pizzas into prison by impersonating a police officer.

Police tracked the phone call back to Harp’s phone, but he claims that it was all a misunderstanding. Apparently, he let “about 10 people” use his phone. If Harp’s story is true, he must have been passing his phone around to strangers in prison like a joint gets passed around in Eric Foreman’s basement.

Harp now faces theft of identity, theft by deception, and impersonating a police officer.

It absolutely amazes me that he wasn’t unable to wait until after he got out of prison to eat pizza. Did he think the delivery man would just show up at the prison, realize Officer Wilson wasn’t there, and let an inmate claim the pizza as his own?
