Florida Man Buys Foreclosed Home – Finds Rotting Corpse In Bedroom

Well, what did you expect? The neighborhood children literally told him that they think there is a dead body inside.

William Wilson bought a foreclosed home at a Florida auction for a whopping $96,000. While he had been informed by neighbors that the previous owner was a recluse and that there may be a dead body inside, he was surprised to actually find a rotting corpse in the master bedroom of the home.

“You couldn’t tell who it was…You couldn’t tell if it was a male or a female…it’s disappointing and a sad thing that nobody cared enough to check” said Wilson to a local newspaper. He also said that all that was left was a little bit of skin and bones.

The rest of the home had been trashed, and looked as if the woman was packing her belongings. Wilson found a birdcage covered with feces in the living room, but couldn’t find the bird, alive or dead.

The home had been built in 2007, and owned by Carmen Garcia-Viso. Her neighbor would always use her driveway because he never saw anyone around, which caused the whole neighborhood to wonder who, or what, was in the house.

“I had a hunch,” said neighbor Gary Oben Jr, “Either it was a grow house or there was a dead lady in there.”

The woman who lived there, now deceased, hadn’t been seen or heard from in about 3 years. She was in her late 60s, was rarely seen, and spoke little to no English.

William Wilson tried to contact the woman’s family to see if they wanted the house, but the family refused. Wilson plans to clean up the house and try to resell it, but it is still a little sad that she had been dead for three years and none of her family members ever showed up to check on her.
