A Long List Of Sex Acts Is Now Banned In UK Porn

Party-poopers.

Pornography produced in the United Kingdom just got a whole lot more boring thanks to an amendment to the 2003 Communications Act. The amendment, The Audiovisual Media Services Regulations 2014 requires that video-on-demand online porn must now follow the same guidelines laid out for DVD sex shop-type porn by the British Board of Film Censors (BBFC).

Essentially, the board is trying to dictate what types of porn is fine to show, and what is too inappropriate. If you are a UK porn producer, here are the sex acts that are now illegal for you to show in your films:

Spanking

Caning

Aggressive whipping

Penetration by any object “associated with violence”

Physical or verbal abuse (regardless if consensual)

Urolagnia (don’t even ask)

Female ejaculation

Strangulation

Facesitting

Fisting

The last three acts in that last have been banned by the BBFC, because the censor board views those acts as potentially “life-endangering.”

It should be noted that people in the United Kingdom are allowed to watch porn featuring those acts, as long as they are produced in another country. The new censorship amendment just prevents certain types of pornography from being made locally.

Many people, specifically those involved in the making of porn, are strongly against this new amendment.

“There appear to be no rational explanations for most of the R18 rules,” Jerry Barnett of the anti-censorship group Sex and Censorship told Vice UK. “They’re simply a set of moral judgments designed by people who have struggled endlessly to stop the British people from watching pornography.”

  1. Look like a lot of ministers are sexists. Women are forbidden to orgasm, but men are allowed to? I thought men and women had the same rights in the UK?

And how will this law take care of free sites like mysexslave, http://theporndude.com/, spankingtube,…? Or are only professional UK porn shooters being targetted and not free pirate websites who stream such material?

I just did a quick test and I don’t see any of the pirate sites unaccesible currently. I assume the government will turn a blind eye, since it would upset a lot of makes, if they can’t get their free porn anymore. Doesn’t sound fair for the porn producers in my opinion.

What’s the % of people that still buy bdsm content? I’m guessing it can’t be huge.
