Suspicious Dildo Causes Stir At San Diego Courthouse

SAN DIEGO – A courtyard next to a San Diego courthouse was briefly sectioned off on Thursday, December 4, 2014, when a suspicious object was found. Police took the report very seriously, after someone spotted the object around 10:15 a.m.,and described it as an egg-shaped piece of aluminum attached to an electric cord.

Federal officers closed off the area while a bomb squad unit approached the object to investigate.

To their surprise, and probably entertainment, the bomb squad realized that they were not, in fact investigating a bomb. Instead, they were investigating a sex toy that had mysteriously appeared in the parking lot.

The area was open to the public within the hour, and no one has stepped forward to claim the device, San Diego Fire-Rescue Department spokesman Lee Swanson told reporters.
