Part of me thinks that he wanted to get caught.
29-Year-old Timothy Bontrager has been charged with felony burglary of an occupied dwelling after breaking into someone’s house, and then falling asleep on the couch.
The homeowner told police that she woke up sometime around 7:20 a.m. and noticed that a strange man, Timothy Bontrager, was sleeping on her couch. When she woke him up and asked what he was doing, he apologized and as you can imagine, thought to himself, “Oh shit.”
The victim then called police, and Bontrager left the home. The homeowner noticed that her wallet, driver’s license, credit cards, and personal checks that she had made out to Bontrager were missing. Soon after the incident, the suspect was found walking along a nearby road, and was arrested without incident.
Don’t you just hate when your alarm doesn’t go off?
